Here you will find all of our curriculum.
Practice at home regularly!
Do NOT settle on a C+...strive to be better.
Take the time and build a solid foundation!
Your basics must be clean, crisp and sharp.
Welcome to Power Kix Martial Arts! Your basic techniques are the FOUNDATION of your Martial Arts skills. Master these techniques early on to make your training a smooth process. Good strong stances. Chamber those kicks! Punch with closed fists! Practice, practice, practice!
Remember, pay now or pay later! You can rush through these belts now with the minimum requirements , but you will pay at the Advanced Belt levels later where technique is expected! Save the frustration and focus on perfecting the techniques now and save yourself the extra work later. These are very important building blocks! Don't underestimate good solid technique!
At this level, our expectations are higher, yours should be too! There is a three month minimum, but if you want to shine, stay a little longer and perfect those techniques and be ready for the belts further along.
Advanced Brown Belts, remember, you are learning new belt curriculum along with testing for half of your Black Belt! Plan for a lot of review! Attending Under-Belt classes is MANDATORY at this belt. Some believe that this is the hardest belt in our system. Crisp technique, good attitude and a willingness to perfect and polish is critical!
Novice Black Belts: Leadership credits are MANDATORY at this belt. You will need 12! Start early, plan ahead!
Black Belt Candidate Cycle: This is a 10 week intensive training session that is primarily with Ms. Limas. The cycle is for perfecting and polishing...NOT for re-teaching or refreshing! When you are invited into this cycle, COME PREPARDED! You must have at least 1 stripe before you can be invited into the cycle. It is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that if you have the opportunity to receive two stripes prior to your invitation, you should do so!
Power Kix is committed to developing self-esteem and confidence, but it is equally committed to setting high standards for our students and the personal rewards which come from attaining them!
